Ahh if only I was one of those folks who could simply look at a magazine recipe and say, yes I have all of those ingredients and yes, I can cook that cake / pudding / entire meal. However although I have thought that it’s all too much effort, I have not gone down the route of buying in everything I want to eat. In fact the shop bought cakes and pastries are not my choice – far too much processed sugar, fats and flour for me, when I do cook, I enjoy looking up a recipe and trying to find suitable alternatives for some of the items. There is one doyenne of the cooking world who used to have the most successful cookery lesson programme on our part of the planet. These were followed up with phenominal sales of ooks following each series. These days she presents cookery classes online and every single one I’ve tried has worked absolutely perfectly first time.
